Visually stimulating and meaningful landscapes strike the perfect balance between function and form…encouraging exploration, providing enjoyment and a place to relax and admire, while enhancing your home.
Developing an understanding of how you want to use your garden, who will be using it, when will it be used and why, is fundamental when it comes to planning your landscape. At the beginning of the design phase, we gain an understanding for how you wish to use your garden by meeting on site and discussing your garden ‘wish list’ – this is then refined and articulated in the design brief.
Consideration is made for view-lines, existing features, local council regulations and climatic conditions (wind, sun, water), sustainability, drainage, irrigation. Prioritizing your preferences such as alfresco dining, outdoor bathing, pergolas/pavilions, right down to plant types, colour schemes, materials. Being mindful of your architecture and environment, choosing elements that will complement your home’s architecture and the area that you live are all factored into your design.
A good designer understands all the elements required to create a successful landscape, as well as the value that an engaging outdoor area adds to your lifestyle.
A great landscape design does not simply maximise your useable space, but enriches your lifestyle.
