Our clients at Mt Martha engaged us to revamp the outdated and tired existing garden and fibreglass pool at their beloved forever home. A small garden area called for clever design solutions to get the most out of what the area has to offer, such as a deck and patio, the pool, and the new firepit with custom seating.

One of the main design challenges on this project was connecting the levels between the existing decking and pool area and the driveway – and how to manage this with a seamless flow. The curved architectural concrete bench in the firepit zone is our practical solution to the awkwardly shaped existing deck, whilst also functionally connecting the two levels and areas of this garden. The added screening around the pool boundary works to make this small space feel larger and also provided a necessary update to the pool barrier safety.
