Shoreham

This is a garden that truly makes the most of the beautiful, borrowed landscape that envelopes it, both balancing and complementing the architecture of the home and the natural habitat in which it sits. The design of this garden pays homage to the unique environment of the Mornington Peninsula, and we are proud of the result we have achieved in the coastal conditions prevalent on this site.

Our clients at Shoreham requested a fibreglass pool that is visible from the house as the centrepiece of their design. They also asked that the views out to the bay be retained and an existing pizza oven be incorporated into their new garden. Due to the close proximity to the coast, the plant palette consists of native and indigenous species that can withstand the harsh marine climate and soils.

The pool area is designed to complement the architecture when viewed as a backdrop, as well as acting as a standalone feature. Crafted from stone steps, the garden paths create a journey through the landscape, leading to surprises and beautiful features around every corner.

To keep this landscape looking its best year-round, we take care of the pruning of shrubs, training of climbers, regular fertilising and mulching, plant health and irrigation checks, pest control, and pressure cleaning of the paved areas.
